Workshop

The Inner Toolkit: Writing Our Resources

In this experiential workshop, Dr Meg will guide you through ways of using the page not only as a place to let go and heal—but to call up your deepest resources.

Drawing upon the theory of applied positive psychology, together we’ll explore a number of reflective and creative writing exercises that can be used in your own practice and with others in community and health contexts.

You’ll leave with a wealth of practical approaches to writing for wellbeing and—most importantly—with a renewed connection to your own inner toolkit.

KEYNOTE

Self Constructive Writing: On Becoming a Person on the Page

This interactive talk will explore writing as a helping relationship with the self, applying a theoretical lens informed by humanistic and positive psychology.

Dr Meg will share insights from her own memoir-writing journey as well as her research findings on writing as a process of identity construction.

You will try out practical, reflective exercises in self-constructive writing with plenty of time for gentle, explorative discussion and questions.
